Winter has finally passed. I have been like a bear in hibernation. It is time to re-motivate myself. I chose this image as a representation of my mood over the last few weeks. Uncertain, a little dark but always with a glimmer of hope for a bright outcome on the other side.
I changed my feature image too. I have so many amazing images of my jetty now, but this one I took the time to take with my ‘real’ camera. Most of the photos on the blog so far have been taken with my phone.
The rain continues to fall however I can feel the warmth of spring in the air, (on the days it doesn’t rain that is!)
Today is a good day. The scent of jasmine drifts through the french doors from the front deck. I am enjoying the deck. Right now I am still working on getting the front room completed. One thing just leads to another and to complete one part, I’m finding it necessary to work on the adjoining area as well. The important thing is that I am still moving forward.
I had some professional help today to remove the asbestos from the front sunroom. I plan to use this room as a wardrobe/storage, office area and sitting room off the main bedroom. I have had a quote to get all the fibro removed from the outside and the rest of the interior (kitchen and back room). It is expensive but not as much as everyone wants you to believe. Once I have gone ahead with that and completed the re-lining on the interior and cladding on the exterior I will have a gorgeous little beach cottage instead of an old fibro shack.
My handyman is having a break for a while so once he is ready, I will be ready also. The bathroom will be the next major project and I am underway with plumbing, waterproofing and fitting quotes. I hope to have a new bathroom by the end of October. I have six weeks to make that happen!
I am almost at my 6 month anniversary. Where has the time gone???
I will end today with some more photos taken here in my little paradise by the lake and the sea…
Oh… and apparently I’m not the only person who thinks this is a great place to photograph!
