The long awaited bathroom

OK. So there were a few initial teething problems but I am now happy to say that the bathroom is fully functional and I have had my first bubble bath….

Sourcing the PC items for the bathroom was the easy part. Finding the right trades people and coordinating it all proved to be the difficult bit. Eventually I found some great people and together with the professionals I have finally delivered a bathroom.

I stayed with the greys, neutrals and white tones, in keeping with the the look and feel of the rest of the house. This beautiful rustic timber tile was chosen as a feature (90 x 15). Every tile is unique and the feature walls look fabulous.

The other walls are plain matt white in a large 30 x 60 tile and the grey floor has extra large 60 x 60 concrete look tiles. The large tiles give the room a sense of space. The room looks bigger than it actually is. I have moved my office from this room to create the bathroom. Here are the before and after photos.

The NEW Rustic Glam Bathroom!

The NEW Rustic Glam Bathroom!

With the installation of an internal cavity sliding door in the wall there are now two entrances into this room. One from the main bedroom and one from the hall. This multi purpose room now is both an ensuite to the main bedroom and the main bathroom. The shaving cabinet has been recessed into a purpose built panel and has been finished with an OSRAM flexible strip light at the base. There are two simple down lights in the ceiling.

As always, every new item is tested and approved by the one and only – Muffin. And she approves!
